Meet the Nurse Practitioner

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University, graduating Cum Laude and earning recognition on both the Dean’s and Chancellor’s Lists.

Alicia has served on the frontlines of healthcare, notably as an Emergency Room Travel Nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she managed high-acuity trauma, sepsis, cardiac, and psychiatric cases. Her clinical versatility is further demonstrated through her roles as a Clinical Instructor at HCI College, an Orthopedic Case Manager, and a Utilization Reviewer, applying clinical guidelines and coding expertise to evaluate pain management procedures.

She has held several leadership positions, including Bed Placement Supervisor at a Level 1 Trauma Center, where she oversaw patient flow at a 700 plus bed facility, staffing, and departmental coordination. Alicia has excelled in academia and has demonstrated her commitment to client care and aesthetics, extensive hands-on experience in IV therapy, transfusions, respiratory treatments, and chronic disease management, caring for patients with conditions such as heart disease, AIDS, lupus, sickle cell anemia, cancer, and those receiving transitional care.

Known for her adaptability, clinical acumen, and compassionate care, Alicia excels in high-pressure environments and is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered practice. Her strengths include strong communication, multitasking, and mentoring future healthcare professionals.

Currently, Alicia serves as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner at Dr. Thrower’s Dermatology and Medspa. In this role, she performs advanced cosmetic procedures, educates clients, and collaborates closely with Dr. Thrower and the Medspa team. Facial harmonization is one of her specialties, and she is dedicated to delivering service excellence and personalized care to every patient.
